I am so incredibly excited to finally be able to share the new name and rebrand with you all!  The announcement comes a few weeks late due to some technical issues, but better late than never, right? And though many of you have already seen the new branding and name change on Instagram and Facebook, I’m none-the-less happy to transition with the changes here as well.

The rebranding was a decision I didn’t make lightly. I’ve wanted to rebrand for years now, long since outgrowing my old name & image, but was always afraid of the change.  Thanks to insight and guidance from Jacki of Foil & Ink, whose keen eye I’ve respected from the onset of our working relationship together on different editorial projects, I jumped .. and prayed for a net to appear. And it did, a stronger net than I could have even imagined thanks to God’s good grace. Through her amazing ability to translate exactly what was in my mind’s eye .. Luna de Mare Photography was born, complete with a logo & artwork that defines the brand.

The name itself stems from a personal connection, with most of it being whimsical.  Translated literally from Romanian, which is my native country, it means Moon of the Sea, though it translates to the same meaning in several different languages albeit spelled differently. The whimsical aspect of the name lends itself from astrology, for al night-hearted approach, from being a water sign who’s represented by the Moon, & a water child, and so I thought it was fitting, and I love-it-so.

I hope you’ll join me along this beautiful journey of capturing moments, a single frame at a time.
